You Wrote Me and Prayed for Me

Each year Pilgrim House becomes more known throughout the pilgrim community.  Now that the center has almost been open 4 years, we have the pleasure of having repeat pilgrim visitors.  C is one of the pilgrims who has visited us on multiple occasions, and as a result, our team was able to develop a great friendship.

During C’s visits she shared her struggles, painful life experiences, and even her thoughts of suicide.  She had decided to walk the Camino in a desperate attempt to experience some real change in her life; she was earnestly seeking.

After many conversations with C one of our teammates felt led to give her a particular book. C left Santiago for a little while, but when she returned, she left a letter for our teammate, part of which read,

“The book you gifted me really strengthened my connection with Jesus…now I continue to introduce Him to people.

You wrote me and prayed for me, ‘that I would fall more in love with Jesus everyday; that I would find true life and freedom in Him’. I did and I still do. Words cannot thank you enough but hopefully you will feel the impact you helped create”.

What a privilege for our team to be part of a higher calling of redemption and transformation!  I am excited that Jesus has invited us to be part of this story.

You too can be part of seeing lives transformed!  Would you consider partnering with me? I need to raise $1,200 in monthly gifts by July 31st so that I can return to the work at Pilgrim House.  You can partner by clicking on the picture below.

Thank you!

About Anne

I moved from Seattle, Washington to join a project in Santiago, Spain called Pilgrim House. The Pilgrim House is a place where pilgrims of the Camino can come and find community, conversation, and prayer.
